To allow you to review our experience of carrying out similar projects, we have selected two projects that we have completed recently. The PMP e-SimulatorPMCAMPUS.com (www.pmcampus.com) is a Registered Education Provider of the Project Management Institute (www.pmi.org). The goal was to create a new online training offer with leading edge simulator for the PMP certification preparation dedicated to Project Managers. Indeed, more and more clients and corporation require less time spent in the classroom and more time spent in online learning. Our role was to develop the multimedia interactive features to support a 50-hour online course and deploy an effective online infrastructure in less than 6 months. The master piece we provided to our client is a Flash exam simulator driven by XML structured data that was developed to respond to the very specific requirements of the PMP exam. Not only it gives our client a competitive advantage but also the means to maintain and update easily the question bank as the certification program evolves. This simulator engine is capable to handle a variety of scenario such as a 10-question 12-minute baseline testing specialized in one specific knowledge area, to a full exam covering all subject areas containing 200-question and 4-hour online examination. The e-Sim Training Center is fully operational and a free demo is visible from the website: www.pmcampus.com
Interactive preview of PAXIUM- an international humanitarian laws role-play activityThe Canadian Red Cross International Programs have launched recently the campaign “Even Wars Have Limits” (www.redcross.ca). Our role was to contribute to the Interactive material offered in the Educator’s toolbox of this campaign. We have developed tow tools to support the famous Paxium role-playing activity exploring conflict and international humanitarian law. The first tool is an interactive preview presentation and the second tool is the instructor’s 60-page PDF guide. The storyboard of the interactive preview was a critical piece in the development of the project due the high level of the subject matter regarding the International Humanitarian Law (IHL). We worked closely with the subject matter expert and proposed a sequencing of scenes adapted to the media while we gave him the full control of updates and changes in text. The interactive preview is made of 7 multimedia scenes featuring the major play-role events and debriefing activities and is an enjoyable interactive piece of instruction. The scene 6 introduces the user-friendly and digestible summary of the IHL basic rules. The 60-page instructor’s guide has gained from the interactive preview as we were capable of re-using the graphics elements to illustrate it and propose to instructors a comprehensive content guide in a pleasant layout. Paxium interactive preview and instructor’s guide are available on the Canadian Red Cross website at: www.redcross.ca/article.asp?id=005963&tid=006
